(The wicked will try to justify their sins).

Also, the words I always used when I was in the "prison". "The more you torture someone, the more sadist you become".

Also: What Jesus said: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go to heaven."

ALSO: Stop DEPENDING on ME!!! We all know that the name Ethiopia is a contaminated and abused name. It has got different meanings: according to the Bible, it is Cushland; according to Greeks, it is the land of blacks (burned face); according to Tigreans, it is the Axum empire; according to Amharas, it is Abyssinia; and according to the Ethiopianists from the oppressed nations like those from the southern nations, it is the current geographical Ethiopia. For Oromo nationalists, it is the symbol for the system of domination. An Ethiopia that is free from this system of domination is the vision of Medrek (Medrek, also known as the Forum or FDD, is the major opposition coalition in Ethiopia), which is a very good vision indeed!

The system of domination has existed from the time of Minilik in different forms: as a monarchy of both Minilik and Teferi Mekonnen, as a military dictatorship of Mengistu, and as a dictatorial revolutionary democracy of Meles. Will the next step be the forging of democratic federalism by Medrek? According to the Mini-Program of Medrek, it is understandable that the move is towards democratic true Kilil-federation in contrast to Weyane’s dictatorial fake Kilil-federation. The only mistrust the oppressed nations in the empire had was based on the presence of UDJ, the unitarist party, in the Forum. Now we heard/read that as a precondition for the entrance of both Negasso Gidada and Siye Abraha into the party, UDJ made a reform of its program. What is this reform? Accepting the right of nations to have the right to self-administration (if not self-determination) in their Kilil’s? If so, then the mistrust of oppressed nations will be resolved!

Regarding Medrek’s Mini-Program on the administrative structure, it supports the right of all nations and nationalities to be organized in their territories at community (qebele) level, district (wereda) level, province (zone) level and at state level. What a fantastic structure! This can be a good example for the whole of African region-states. To tackle the problems of nations in Africa and to deal with the present global challenge, Africans are trying to come together and forge an AUG (African Union Government). We are looking at U.S. America (U.S.A.) or EU (European Union) as an example. For instance, Amhara democrats, who want to get rid of Kilil-federation and want to establish an Ethiopia of melting pot (melting all nations in to Amharaic speakers), do look at U.S.A. as a model, whereas Oromo liberation fronts, who want to establish independent democratic republics of different nations, which may further forge a union of independent nations based on free will, do like the model of EU. But both U.S.A. and EU can not be good examples for Africa. U.S.A. is the melting pot for all nations around the world migrating to America and learning the English language. EU is the Union of well developed and independent mono-national-states, all with their own respective languages well developed and used.

Africa can be neither a melting pot nor a union of well developed only mono-national-states. The nations in Africa are diverse in development and size. What is good for Africa is to build a union (federation) with autonomous national areas for all nations aka “ethnies”. Based on their size and development, some nations can forge mono-national-state like Oromia. The others, which are too small to have their own state can forge multi-national-state like SNNP of Ethiopia, with all nations having their own province, district or community as autonomous national areas based on their size. Relatively bigger nations like Sidama can have their own autonomous province, nations smaller than this like Alaba can have autonomous district, and the smallest nations like Dorze can have their own autonomous community. Based on their geographical position, certain small nations like Agew and Harari can join the bigger neighbor nations like Amhara or Oromia, but have their own autonomy, be it as province, district or community. Such 5 tier organization (African Federation — Mono-/Multinational States — Mono-/Multinational Provinces — Mono-/Multinational Districts and Mono-/Multinational Communities) is the best way of administrative arrangement for Africa.

In Short, Medrek’s Ethiopian model can be used as a prototype for African future federation, just changing Kilil-federation’s fake status under Weyane to a very genuine one, for which Mederek and AFD members, including OLF and the likes, are struggling. Then we will have not only an integrated region named Ethiopia/HoAfrica, but also an integrated continent Africa, which will be build on the center called Oromia with Finfinne as a capital. Oromia will be a sovereign state in a United States of Africa, so can be Amhara state, Tigrai state and other nation-states. The only question we people need to ask ourselves is that, at which administrative level are we thinking, talking and walking when we try to deal with politics? If we are ready to accept and think at the level of the above five tiers, then we can look at the fact that Kilil-federalism or language-based federalism, rather than Xeqilaigizat-federalism or geography-based federalism, is the panacea for regional integration of Ethiopia/HoAfrica and for the continental integration of Africa.

In respect to the development in this direction, thanks to CUD and OLF, the formation of AFD was the first nightmare Weyane ever experienced. Now the formation of the similar alliance at home aka Medrek by OFC and UDJ with parties of other nations like ATSD is the second nightmare. But if and only if UDJ accepts and respects Kilil-federation, then the move of Negasso Gidada to join UDJ instead of OFC is not disappointing for Oromos. If UDJ remains to be a unitarist party, Gidada is a failure, not only a disappointment. Otherwise, Medrek is a better hope in comparison to Weyane’s fake federation (mind you Weyane is good in comparison to unitarist Amhara elites), but not the best hope, AFD definitely will be the best hope for the nations in the empire. Having regional (Ethiopian) union of nations as envisioned by both Medrek and AFD is really good, but unfortunately, Medrek did it based only on the consensus of the involved parties, whereas AFD fortunately will have the same result based on referendum by the concerned public. AFD’s action will lead to the lasting result and the end-goal (regional union of nations per referendum), whereas that of Medrek is only temporary and leads us only to a mid-goal of nations in the region called Ethiopia, i.e to regional union of nations per consensus of the involved parties without taking into consideration the will of the concerned public.

The hope is because of the fact that both Medrek and AFD are on the same middle line (in the political spectrum of the empire) trying to establish regional union of nations, on the contrary to the ultra-left fronts needing to achieve only unconditional national independence without a possible union of nations in the empire/region and on the contrary to the ultra-right parties striving for unconditional regional integration in a form of assimilating all nations in to Amharinya speakers. Now MEDREK (the new AFD = Alliance for Federalism and Democracy at home) is sending a shocking wave in to Weyane circle. According to Negasso’s recent interview in VOA’s Afaan Oromo program, UDJ pursues to achieve the goal of regional union of nations per public verdict in the future (union per referendum). If this is true, then Medrek is almost the same to AFD proper aka Alliance for Freedom and Democracy. The only difference is that Medrek wants to get the freedom from Weyane fascists only legally and peacefully, whereas AFD tries all-inclusive method. Then, the future political move in Ethiopia will be from the status quo, from the position of the alliance of revolutionary democrats with their fake Kilil-federation, first to the position of the alliance for federalism and democracy aka Medrek to forge true Kilil-federation (self-administration) and then finally to the position of the Alliance for Freedom and Democracy aka AFD to realize the right of nations to self-determination!

According to the recent interview given by the leaders of the different Oromo liberation fronts on Oromo community radio of Minnesota, their fronts are moving towards a united front, then to move further together to revive AFD, the alliance with the democratic forces and the freedom fighters of other nations. This will be a very good move to strengthen the struggle of Medrek at home against fascist Weyane. I hope this alliance in Diaspora will be reactivated soon and will galvanize the struggle for freedom and democracy at home being cooperated and coordinated with the struggle of Medrek.

As far as other African region-states formed by colonial powers are concerned, they should learn from Medrek’s Ethiopia two things: firstly, they need to learn to accept and respect the God-given right of their nations and nationalities in order to help them to have self-administration and self-determination, so that they can use and develop their own respective national languages instead of still worshiping colonial languages; secondly, they need to foster Kilil-federation with different administrative levels of the five tiers as described above to promote cultural, economic and political autonomy of all nations and nationalities in Africa, which will be the democratic bases for the future United State of Africa, which should be free from the negative influence of both the hitherto colonial borders and colonial languages.

Galatooma!

Some people are endowed with brilliance. But, brilliance does not always equal wisdom.

Even evil people can do good things, because perhaps one day they will turn to God.

However, no one is perfect, neither even "angels".

When you are blessed with a gift, do not look a gift horse in the mouth. Because, if you steal, then what if someone "else" is able to take it back?

Do not become drunk with "power". You have been warned.

---

Warning to those who are not as "blessed":

Freedom is when people are free.

Wars may be waged by physical weapons, but they may become waged by words.

In this day and age, "Those who control the present, control the past." "Those who control the past, control the future".

Information spreads, but what if it is the wrong "kind" of information?

---

Tips to live a free life on the net:

A: You can lie about your information when filling out a "free" email or user account. That's because it's for anonymity.

B: If it's a paid account, you "should" be truthful. That's why, children under 18 should never have a paid account, because someone else can hack, and find all of you.

C: It's recommended not to let a kid under 13 to have a user account. They're not yet mature to "converse" with elder people (13+). They could fall to pedophilia, stalkers, murderers, etc. Or they could become one.

D: There are a lot of sites that don't require an account, where you can leave anonymous messages, usually for "kids", or adults, or both. But, pronvincial governments should be keeping a tab on those sites, for the kids and for the adults (for everyone). You get the picture. No allowing pornography, violence, etc. Try following the gamefaqs.com system, or what it was before.

E: Think for yourselves, and for the future generations.

F: Do not use the same sites over and over, and rely on only one or a few specific sites to receive information, or in using the net.
1: Specification: There are a lot of sites that "start" out good. But, like many companies who have come and gone, they become a "monopoly". Suggestion is: Visit as many different sites as possible to get or teach information. Also, remember that sites that have "changeable" information can "change" the information again. Do not believe everything the "media" tells you.

2: Teach each other to "free" up the flow of information. Do not rely on only one or a few sites to search for information. Remember what happened with "elgoog"? "Power corrupts". Find as many different forms of media, and do not mock the ones that seem "radical". Question reality and the stereotypes that are created. Stereotypes are not only created by physical actions, but by words and "thoughts".

3: Think for yourselves, everyone. Because, when "someone" starts thinking for you, it is...TOO LATE.

Oh, man, I am hooked to both.

Seon-Deok Yeoh-Wahng (선덕영왕) is about an ancient female Queen of the Silla Dynasty. Queen Seon-Deok is known to be the first unifier of ancient Korea.

In the drama, Seon-Deok is Deok-Mahn, a young girl who wasn't aware that she was the twin sister of a current princess of Silla. Pretending to be a boy, she befriended who she'd find out was her twin, and was conscripted into the army.

So far, at episode 22, it's been revealed that Deok-Mahn is the twin sister of the princess. The reason why she was sent away when an infant was that during that time, there was a stigma towards twin daughters. Due to superstition, it was considered bad luck or a bad omen. That's why the princess having a twin was kept secret, even from the princess herself.

The drama is awesome so far, or at least addicting.

---

Yureka (유레카) aka ID_Entity is pretty interesting as well. It is a Korean manhwa (manga), that began in 2000, about MMORPGs. Just the recent volume (volume 31 in Korea) was terribly depressing. In brief: Poor Piriyang.

I just started playing this game yesterday, and I am slightly ambivalent, leaning towards enthusiastic about it.

The battle system is terrible, but it can be overlooked somewhat. Basically, when you want to use a spell or attack, you have to be able to press a certain combo when you're approaching an enemy or ally. It's playable, and you eventually get the hang of it, but I think the game would've been loads better if there was another approach to the battle system.

The characters are basically gorgeous, though for awhile, I thought a certain character, Azel, was female. I found out otherwise by hearing his voice during a cutscene. That was pretty surprising.

I think this game is story-driven, simply by experiencing the first few hours. It's important to talk to NPCs so that you can extricate what's going on and get a better idea of the environment given by the game.

So far, that's my first impression of the game. I have that feeling it will get better, but I read somewhere that the game may feel or get stagnant until a certain plot point is reached. Hopefully, I'll be able to play and enjoy this game thoroughly.

I won't spoil any of the events, or divulge much of the details, but Evan Almighty (sequel to the movie Bruce Almighty), was a wonderful movie to watch. To me, it was nearly perfect and had many poignant moments.

The only thing I am particularly disappointed with related to this movie was the reviews it got on Imdb. It deserves a higher rating by far.

If you haven't seen this movie, nor know anything about it, I suggest you WATCH the movie ASAP and not read any spoilers for it before doing so. You'll enjoy the movie as much as I had.

Anyhow, this is dreamnt, signing out.

Well, before I bought Suikoden Tierkreis off of Auction.co.kr. So far, I have not regretted the purchase.

The game is VERY different than previous Suikodens, but is phenomenally good.

I won't go into details right now, however. That I will wait for until I finish the game and write a review.

In other news, Roh Moo Hyun, the former South Korean President, died last Saturday of apparent suicide. It was shocking and unexpected.

Some other thing that's going on just now: North Korea tested yet another nuclear weapon or something. On a message board I frequent, people are basically calling NK a real life troll.

Another news I read of: In China, there was this guy standing on a ledge contemplating jumping. So, this other guy goes up there and pushes the guy, noting that it's bothersome that the would-be jumper guy was stopping traffic or something. Luckily, no one died from it. Apparently the pushing guy had a history of mental issues.

That's it for now. I realize I haven't posted here in months, so...See you around.

Well, okay, NOT trash, but in the recyclables area. Today was recycling day, after all.

Some great finds I got:
-Honggane - Hwang Mi Ri - (1-11 completed)
-Last Kiss with You - Han Yu-Rang - (1-9)
-A Love in 100 Days - Hwang Mi Ri - (11)
-Nodame Cantabile - Tomoko Ninomiya - (17)
-Gintama - Hideaki Sorachi - (12)
-Legend - Kara / Woo Su Jung - (2-5)
-Kyou Kara Ma no Tsuku Jiyuugyou! - Temari Matsumoto / Tomo Takabayashi - (3)

I started reading through Honggane, and had a lot of fun. I'm aware that Hwang Mi Ri is a prolific artist (and that I didn't enjoy her Legend of Nereid story), but I really like the direction she took with this particular title.

Additionally, this afternoon was quite interesting. I recited the song lyrics (that I was required to learn) nearly perfectly, which was a plus since I only took a day to remember it. Though, I'll digress (don't want to seem too arrogant).

Only one bad thing really happened, and that's the price of Suikoden Tierkreis in Korean won. The dealer I wished to buy it from raised the price from 59,000 WON to 62,000 WON. It's worrying me. Hopefully, the price won't get any higher than that anytime soon. Tierkreis was my one reason for getting a DS. I just CANNOT miss out on that game.

Today, someone noted that it is important to keep a diary. Also, it was remarked that great writers/thinkers like Lee Soon Shin, Roald Dahl, and Tolstoy all kept diaries. I guess I'll try to do so as well.

There's really not much else to say.

So, it's been a whole day since I finished reading Breaking Dawn, the 4th and last book of the Twilight series, by Stephenie Meyer.

Since then, I've discovered that the author's name is spelled "Stephenie", rather than "Stephanie". Learning that solved my problem of searching book sites and not being able to track down the series. Also, I've found that the author may be writing Edward's point of view for the series, though I have little desire to read his version. Something else I discovered was on the last page of Breaking Dawn, an advertisement for the Twilight Saga Guide, which is coming out in December 30th, 2008, a must-have. I'm hoping either Kyobo or Aladdin will have it.

Twilight is...an interesting series. I understand quite well how it drew in so many fans, mainly female. It's fun, and has a nice storyline. Many argue that it's poorly-written, but at least it doesn't detract someone from reading through to the end. I've found that unlike many books, it keeps the reader going until its end.

I still don't get the "Team Edward" and "Team Jacob" rants. I was hoping that reading through the series would explain that, but I guess it's just some mantras made up by the fans.

That's it for now. Just having a bit of fatigue set in...

I came home from the cinema with some awesome movie pamphlets, including the one for Twilight the Movie, which is coming out later this month. Though, I have no plans to watch Twilight until it appears on DVD or on cable.

Anyhow, a lot has happened lately. First off, Barrack Hussein Obama has beaten John McCain in the election for US president. Also, the world economy is or has getting/gotten quite terrible, and local prices have gone up for goods. Oh, and it's just started feeling like Winter this past Monday.

Luckily, I've taken my Winter clothes out, and I feel much healthier these days.

My main concerns that I can list are mainly around entertainment mediums. I'm hoping to get Star Ocean 3 eventaully (which I've wanted for 4 years now), and I'm waiting with bated breath for Suikoden Tierkreis for the Nintendo DS. The English version of Tierkreis is coming out next year, and it's my main reason for getting a DS. Another plus is that a lot of good RPGs are heading towards a DS port.

Twilight, the book by Stephanie Meyer should be coming soon. I had it ordered off Kyobobook.co.kr (Kyobo Books) yesterday, so it should be here shortly. It's quite funny reading the praise/criticism for it. I guess I'll finally find out why it's so good/bad.

Anyhow, about my being healthier...I really am improving, though I can't describe just how (that's private). It doesn't seem like I'm dying anytime soon, so I feel like I have a future. I do recall that one of the last times I wrote about it, I seemed...clueless, but even now I am that also. I guess I've just learned to be more close-mouthed about it. There are just so many ways I can seem like a jerk.

I think after I finish Suikoden 3 again, I'll type up a review of it.

Perhaps I've been busy. I guess I've been a bit too preoccupied to post any more on this journal.

Last week, I was awfully sick. On two of those days, I'd wake up sweaty, have to change clothes, go back to sleep, wake up sweaty, have to change clothes, and so forth continuously. Not a pleasant time of being sick. I wasn't sick for no reason, however. I'd received an Influenza vaccine a few days before getting ill. At least I won't get heavily ill during the coming winter, I guess...

Lately, my at-home hobbies have been reading and playing videogames. The last entry of linking to goodreads.com kind of stemmed from being bitten by the bookworm bug.

Books I've enjoyed in the past month? I'd say, Dune (Frank Herbert), A Long Way Down (Nick Hornby), World War Z (Max Brooks), Jumper (Steven Gould), and Robotech: The Macross Saga: Doomsday (a 3-part book). There are some others I read as well, but the ones mentioned in this paragraph are the best.

Games? I finally played through and finished FFX-2, and loved it. The "1000 Words" fmv/cutscene was exceedingly good/emotional. Also, I've begun playing through Suikoden 1 again, in hopes of getting the special "perfect 108 Stars gathered" scenes that I wasn't able to get when I last played it.

Music? I've been listening to basically the same artists. Jang Nara's CD which I acquired a few years ago is pleasant to listen to. Dashboard Confessional's "Dusk and Summer" CD is alright, but not as exhilarating as their older one, "A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar" was. Also, I tend to listen to either Bugsmusic's online radio stations, or Winamp's Sky.fm Hits station. The same few artists come up every once in awhile.

Ah, and back to the subject of games, I'm hoping to get a Nintendo DSLite soon, with none other than Pokemon Diamond as my first DS game. I'll be waiting about 2 weeks or so...

News around the world as of late? The US election is coming up, and I have no idea who will win, nor who I would want to win. I say, leave it up to the US public/voters to decide what's best for them. I just hope whoever's elected can restore the world economy which is doing quite poorly as of late.

News locally? There's a lot of news about the economy. (Surprise, surprise...). Prices of foods and goods have gone up considerably. Dokdo comes in and out of the news, as does the situation with the North (of Korea). Ah, I guess something in particular that stands out is the condition of Kim Jung-Il of North Korea. Apparently, his health isn't good, and the leaders up North are hard-pressed to find a suitable new leader. Can't help but feel a bit sad for him, I guess.

Movies? Well, I finally watched Eragon last week, and was heavily disappointed. It was just too different from the book, and gave me the doubt that there would be a follow-up to it, like in the Inheritance Book Series (which consists of three books so far). Perhaps it was made too quickly, and hence quite sloppily.

I guess I'll finish this post here. Perhaps I'll write something original, like a poem or story. I've finally got computer time right now...

Perhaps if he had been younger, he'd have been found working at the local GameCastle.

"Fusion, today, we're not watching 'SailorFlume'," said he to a group of at least 50 members. More than 40 of them began moaning in disapproval. Mr. Mason took a bundle of papers and materials out of what seemed to be a big trash bag.

"Instead, we are going to make Dream Catchers!"

Calling out a sophomore named Damien Eve, Mr. Mason noted, "Damien, will you please hand out these instruction papers?" Damien got up and began handing the papers out.

Mr. Mason had Kelly Vanguard pass out the extra materials. It's while the papers and materials were given out to the Fusion Club members that some were quietly voicing to each other about how they had wished to watch the animation movie instead.

Though while the school day was in session, Mr. Mason usually ignored the possibly negative comments made about him, it was during Fusion that he was quite alert. Rapping a random magazine on the front table, he called the class to silence.

"Now, Fusion, I know you're mostly skeptical about today's project. But, according to 'Strange Stuff Magazine'..." Apparently, the magazine Mr. Mason had mentioned had been the one he was calling the club to attention with.

It was while Mr. Mason was beginning to trail off that Timothy Cole immediately raised his hand, to which Mr. Mason paused and noted, "Yes?"

"Mr. Mason," said Timothy Cole, "Dream Catchers are for the superstitious. Aren't they basically ineffective, like horoscopes?" It had been a few weeks ago that Mr. Mason had announced that horoscopes were useless, after getting a very wrong prediction from one of them. Apparently, Mr. Mason had bet and lost a few grand on a horse that had supposedly been advised of from one of the horoscopes he had near-religiously read daily. His disposition towards horoscopes had soured from that to the point that he banned the reading of them during his classes, and subsequently in Club Fusion.

"Ah, but Timothy, this specific Dream Catcher we are to each make follow a certain formula different than any other one that's been constructed to date," said Mr. Mason, whose lips had shaped into a smile. He continued with, "Take a look at your instruction papers."

The Fusion Club students looked down at their papers that had been handed out by Damien. On them, in bold print at the top were the words: "Catch a Dream, or Be Caught by One".

As Mr. Mason had expected, or at least hoped for, the Fusion Club members began to diligently construct their Dream Catchers. Around one and a half hours later, all had nearly or finally reached the last words on the instruction paper, to which some became confused.

Quartz Diamond was the first to ask Mr. Mason, "What does it mean by saying, 'Perhaps while dreaming, you will wake up.'?"

The teacher replied to her, "That's what I wish our Fusion Club members to find out." Mr. Mason seemed to be smiling while answering with those words.

It's from hearing those words that Ivan Evan raised his hand. Being nodded to from Mr. Mason and allowed to speak, Ivan asked, "Mr. Mason, have you tried the Dream Catcher out yourself?"

Mr. Mason shook his head, and began to speak. "No, I've been waiting a few days to try it. I figured it would be a positive experience if all of us in Fusion began using it at the same time."

"So, tonight, I advise you all to put the dream catchers over your heads, and for you to go to sleep." Mr. Mason then turned his head to a Fusion member named Paul Tress. "You too, Paul. No all-nighter tonight." Paul was known to be somewhat an insomniac.

That day's Fusion Club meeting had adjourned. And it's that evening that everyone began dreaming.

---

Quite eye-opening: It notes that the US military has done tests on medications that enhance a person's body when the person is undergoing sleep deprivation. Also, that the pharmacies that US soldiers have access to are full of sleep-related medications. Another noted thing is that US soldiers are being taught or experimented on to possibly sleep like giraffes do, which are for 1.9 hours a night.

http://www.slate.com/id/2195466/

The ending words in the article are: There you have it: To make the world safe from sleep reduction, we're working night and day on the world's most advanced program in sleep reduction.
